چکیده
The spinodal decomposition was studied in the aged Mn-40 at. %Cu, Mn-30 Mn-20 %Cu alloys using a phase-field model based on Cahn–Hillard equation, considering subregular solution and energy contribution of magnetic behavior. simulations were performed at aging temperatures 300, 400, 500 °C for times from 1 to 240 min. growth kinetics Mn concentration profiles with time indicated clearly that phase supersaturated solid ? into mixture Mn-rich ?? Cu-rich phases occurred by mechanism. Moreover, early stages exhibited characteristic morphology decomposition, an interconnected percolated microstructure decomposed phases. most rapid 30 because higher driving force. presence is responsible increase hardness, as well improvement damping capacity Mn-Cu alloys.

Spinodal Decomposition and the Deconfining Phase Transition
Lattice gauge theory investigations of the deconfining phase transitions have mainly been limited to equilibrium studies (an exception is the work by Miller and Ogilvie [1]). The equilibrium transition with two massless quarks is likely second order and it becomes a crossover with two light quarks (and the heavier strange quark) [2]. In nature the finite temperature phase transition is governed...
متن کاملMagnetoelasticity and Magnetoresistance in Cu–Al–Mn Shape-Memory Alloys
This paper is aimed at studying the effect of a magnetic field on the martensitic transition of a Cu–Al–Mn shape-memory alloy. The martensitic transition has been studied through resistance measurements under applied magnetic fields ranging from 0 to 50 kOe. Negative magnetoresistance showing an almost linear dependence with the square of the magnetization has been observed. This magnetoresisti...
متن کاملLattice Transitions and Flickering Images in Aged Cu-Mn Alloys
Distinctive "flickering" movements are observed in TEM images of the microstructure of Cu-Mn alloys after aging within the miscibility gap. Analyses of two-beam image extinction and electron diffraction streaks indicate that the underlying tweed and "V-shaped images involve a static displacement field of the type {llO) <1iO>. Atomic force microscopy and other microanalyses show the presence of ...
متن کاملComputer simulation of spinodal decomposition in constrained films
The morphological evolution during spinodal decomposition of a binary alloy thin film elastically constrained by a substrate is studied. Elastic solutions, derived for elastically anisotropic thin films subject to the mixed stress-free and constraint boundary conditions, are employed in a three-dimensional phase-field model. The Cahn–Hilliard diffusion equation for a thin film boundary conditio...
متن کاملSANS study of phase decomposition in Fe-Cu alloy added by Ni and Mn
Small-angle neutron scattering ( SANS ) measurements were mainly carried out in order to investigate the structure change during early stage of phase decomposition in Fe-Cu-Ni-Mn quaternary alloy. The fact that the nuclear Guinier radius becomes larger than the magnetic one beyond about 2 nm is attributed to the formation of segregated layer enriched by Ni and Mn around fcc copper-rich precipit...
